Ideal GPU temperatures range from 65 to 85☌ (149 to 185☏) under normal use conditions, such as while gaming. With HWiNFO open in sensors-only mode, scroll down the list until you see your GPU temperature. You don’t need the other parts of the program to check your GPU temperature. When installing HWiNFO, click the box for Sensors-only.
For this article, we’ll use the free HWiNFO monitoring tool to test our GPU health, but any similar tool will give you the same results. Windows doesn’t include any temperature-monitoring software by default, so you’ll need to download a third-party tool.
